WHERE CAN I BUY TICKETS?

Tickets will be available online at AfroFuture.com. Locations to purchase physical tickets will be announced on our social media.

WHO WILL BE PERFORMING?

The festival lineup will be announced on our social media platforms (@Afrofuture) and website.

WHAT TIME DOES THE FESTIVAL START?

The festival starts at 12 PM GMT.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO UPGRADE MY GENERAL TICKET TO VIP?

No, upgrades from General to VIP are not available.

WHAT DOES THE VIP TICKET INCLUDE?

VIP tickets include prime stage views, access to VIP activations, VIP bars, and opportunities to win free AfroFuture swag.

WHAT'S THE EXPERIENCE LIKE?

Expect good music, delicious food, captivating art, vibrant African culture, amazing people, and an all-around fun time.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
  • Sun Protection: Apply sunblock and stay moisturized to protect your skin from the sun.
  • Wristband: Make sure to bring your wristband for seamless entry.
  • Comfortable Clothing: Dress comfortably for a day of fun and dancing.
  • Cash/Card: For any additional purchases at vendor stalls.
  • Portable Charger: Keep your devices charged to capture memories and stay connected.

HOW DO I OBTAIN MEDIA PASSES?

For media inquiries, email press@afrofuture.com. ALL credential applications for a single affiliation/outlet should be submitted under the same application. Freelance journalists must provide a valid assignment from a media outlet. Photographers must also provide an assignment; spec photography, portfolio photography, and personal website photography are not valid. All requests for media credentials must be submitted through the online application form; emailed requests will not be accepted.

  • Pre-event coverage is REQUIRED of all attending media and will be considered as part of the application process; however, it does not guarantee acceptance.
  • Only actively covering media will be considered for credentials.
  • Receiving credentials in prior years does NOT guarantee credentials for the following year. You MUST apply each year.
  • AfroFuture reserves the right to deny credentials to anyone for any reason.
  • Approved outlets will be notified of their accreditation by November 1, 2022. Filling out the application form does not guarantee press credentials; all requests are considered on a case-by-case basis and are NOT guaranteed.
WHAT ITEMS ARE ALLOWED?
  • Personal Mobility Devices for ADA guests are allowed
  • Limited Electronics: Binoculars, cameras, cell phones, GoPros, Laptops/Tablets (detachable lens cameras not allowed unless you have media credentials).
  • Bags: Backpacks, purses, handbags, totes, fanny packs (A4 size)
  • Comfort & Convenience: Baby strollers, blankets, mini foldable camp-style chairs, hats, lighters (for cigarettes only), water misters (must be empty when entering venue)
  • Personal Essentials: Ear plugs, eye drops, gum & mints, hand sanitizer & baby wipes, lip balm, makeup, repellent, sunglasses, sunscreen
  • Smoking: Cigarettes, e-cigarettes & vape pens (no refills allowed)
WHAT ITEMS ARE NOT ALLOWED?
  • Food & Drinks: Outside food or beverages.
  • Drugs:  Illegal drugs and paraphernalia (including cannabis).
  • Electronics/Tools: Air horns, audio recording devices, drones, remote-controlled vehicles/toys, flashlights, laser pointers, detachable cameras (except media with credentials).
  • Aerosol products (including sunscreen), animals, coolers, flammables, flyers/giveaways, glass/metal containers (including refillable water bottles), kites/sky lanterns, musical instruments, non-jewelry chains, markers/paint pens, tarps/tents, toy guns/water guns/slingshots, umbrellas.
  • Weapons:  Absolutely no weapons of any kind, including guns, ammo, knives, tasers, pepper spray, fireworks, explosives, or road flares (applies to off-duty law enforcement and concealed carry as well).

HOW CAN I BE A VENDOR?

Vendor spaces are 10x10 feet. For more information, email vendor@afrofuture.com. New businesses are especially welcome.

CAN I APPLY TO BE A VENDOR EVEN IF I’M NOT A GHANAIAN RESIDENT?

Yes, to apply to be a vendor please fill out the application on our website. You will be notified if shortlisted to be a vendor.

WHAT ARE THE VENDOR TERMS AND AGREEMENTS?

Vendor fees are non-refundable. Vendors must submit full payment to reserve a space and commit to both Festival Days. The reservation deadline is TBC.

  1. AfroFuture reserves the right to assign spaces.
  2. AfroFuture reserves the right to limit the public address system of vendors. Failure to adhere to this request will result in removal from the venue and forfeiture of the vending fee.
  3. Vending of alcohol is strictly prohibited unless otherwise approved in writing. Failure to adhere will result in removal from the venue and forfeiture of the vending fee.
  4. Vending of water is strictly prohibited unless otherwise approved in writing. Failure to adhere will result in removal from the venue and forfeiture of the vending fee.
  5. Vendors are responsible for all necessary permits, licenses, and insurances required for the preparation, display, and sale of merchandise as required by Accra, Ghana.
  6. Vendors must leave the vending space clean and undamaged upon inspection. Proper disposal of trash is required.
  7. AfroFuture and its affiliated members are indemnified from and against any and all liability, losses, costs, expenses, damages, and recoveries which any indemnities may suffer or incur due to any alleged or actual breach of any presentation, warranty, or agreement made.
  8. Vendors must submit an itemized list of products for sale.

Rules

AfroFuture Festival is committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment for everyone. To ensure a great experience for all guests, we ask that you adhere to our Code of Conduct. Any violation of this code may result in immediate removal from the festival grounds, confiscation of your festival wristband, and revocation of parking privileges. Refunds will not be issued in such cases. In serious situations, law enforcement may be involved.

  • Buy Some Merch: Take home a piece of AfroFuture by purchasing festival merchandise.
  • Dance Your Heart Away: Let loose and enjoy the music.
  • Engage and Enjoy: Interact with vendors, visual artists, and activations for a full experience.
  • See Something, Say Something: Report any concerns to festival staff immediately.
  • Explore Cultural Experiences: Learn about and appreciate the diverse cultural offerings.
  • Respect Everyone: Show respect to yourself and your fellow guests.
  • Share the Fun: Tag @AfroFuture on Twitter and Instagram to share your experience in real time.
  • Support Local Vendors: Buy from local vendors to support the community.
  • Drink Responsibly: Enjoy the bar, but know your limits.
  • Use Our Hashtags: Share your festival moments with #AfroFuture and #DiasporaCalling.

Safety First:

  • Security: On-site ambulance, fire service, police, private security, and military police will be provided to ensure your safety. Metal detectors and bag searches will be conducted.

  • Code of Conduct:  Respectful behavior is expected. Violations can lead to removal and revoked privileges.

Wristbands:

  • Re-entry is restricted after 3pm

  • All ages are welcome. Ages 6+ require a festival ticket

  • Your festival ticket is a single wristband that is worn throughout the event

  • Wristbands must be worn as a requirement for entry into the festival

  • Wristbands are void if tampered with or removed

  • All sales are final—no refunds, cancellations or exchanges

Entrance:

  • There are separate entrances for each ticket level

  • Entrance disruption will result in voided tickets

the following actions will result in you being removed from afrofuture:

  • Irresponsible or unsafe use of alcohol

  • Accessing restricted areas without proper credentials

  • Taunting, abusive or offensive language

  • Obscene or offensive gestures, including the use of obscene or offensive gestures through imagery or symbolism (Including banners, signs and other means of visual propaganda)

  • Possession/use/sale of illegal drugs

  • Public urination or defecation (outside of a proper and/or public restroom)

  • Fighting or engaging in any action that may harm, endanger, threaten or bring discomfort to anyone

  • Damage, destruction, vandalism or theft of any property

  • Participating in any activity that humiliates anyone or insults their human dignity

  • Fraudulently claiming a disability or abusing ADA services
